A web page that takes the link of a public YouTube video and gives you back an MP3 audio file or an MP4 video file, with nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.

Yes. The whole conversion runs on our servers and the result arrives as a normal browser download. Phones, tablets, laptops and desktops all use the same page; no store app or add-on is involved.

Watch links (youtube.com/watch?v=…), short links (youtu.be/…), Shorts, YouTube Music, mobile (m.youtube.com) and embed links. Playlists and channel pages are not supported: open the individual video and paste that link.

Yes. Type a song title, artist or any phrase into the box and a list of matching videos appears. Press Play beside a result to check it, then Convert.

Neither. YTMP3 is free to use as often as you like, and every quality option is available to everyone.

Yes. 320 kbps is the default MP3 output and the highest bitrate the MP3 format supports. Lower bitrates of 192 and 128 kbps are useful when storage space matters more than fidelity.

Because YouTube stores its own audio at roughly 128 to 256 kbps. The MP3 keeps everything that is in the stream but cannot add detail the upload never had. Start from an official upload for the best result.

The set YouTube provides for that particular upload, usually 360p, 720p and 1080p. If the creator uploaded in 720p, 1080p simply does not exist for it.

That is exactly what the MP3 button does: it takes the soundtrack of the video and saves it as a standard audio file. Pick MP4 when you want the picture too.

The file name is taken from the video title. Embedded tags and artwork are not added, because YouTube does not supply reliable metadata; most music apps let you edit tags in a few seconds.

There is no fixed cap. Multi-hour uploads convert normally and simply take longer, about one second per minute of video. At peak times the longest files may be queued behind shorter ones.

Open YTMP3 in Chrome, Firefox or Samsung Internet, paste the link, tap Convert and then Download MP3. The file is saved to the Download folder, and most music players index that folder automatically.

Safari asks whether to download; confirm and the file goes to Files › Downloads. From there you can play it, share it or import it into an app that accepts local audio. No jailbreak is required.

Yes. Safari, Chrome and Firefox on macOS download the file to the Downloads folder, and Apple Music or QuickTime open it directly.

Any current browser: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, Opera, Brave and Samsung Internet on desktop and mobile. Very old browsers without modern JavaScript may not show the download buttons.

Yes. All processing is done on our servers, so the only traffic on your side is the finished download. Pick 128 kbps MP3 or 360p MP4 when data is tight.

The upload is private, deleted, region-restricted or age-gated. YTMP3 can only reach what an anonymous visitor can watch. Test the link in a private browsing window to confirm.

Usually a pop-up or download blocker. Allow downloads for this site, then click the button again. On Android, check that the browser has permission to write to storage.

YouTube occasionally trims trailing silence or a static end card from the audio stream. If the difference is large, download the MP4 to see what the source actually contains.

Rare, and nearly always inherited from the upload itself. Try a different quality level; if every version is affected, the source itself is out of sync.

The video may have been removed or made private since then, or an extension update may be blocking requests. Reload the page, disable extensions for this site and try again.

No. Files are generated on request, sent to your browser and deleted shortly after. There are no accounts and no per-visitor history. See the privacy policy.

It depends on where you live and on the content. Saving a copy for personal use is permitted in some countries; redistributing or selling copyrighted material is not permitted anywhere. Our terms of use set out what you agree to.
